Refrigerator Note Holder - A Gift for Mom
This fun gift is easy to make and will make Mom’s life easier by
helping her stay organized.
What you will need:
1. 2 8 ½ x 11 sheets of white cardstock
2. 1 12x12 sheet of scrapbook patterned paper with a design that
will match Mom’s decorating in the kitchen
3. Acrylic paint to match the patterned paper
4. Paintbrush
5. Wooden letters to spell the word “Notes”
6. Hot glue gun
7. Glue
8. Clothespins
9. 1 Plastic photo page
10. Hole punch
11. Wire
12. Magnets
13. Paper cutter
Directions:
1. Plug in the hot glue gun and make sure it has glue in it.
2. Begin by painting the clothespins and the wooden letters with the
acrylic paint.
3. Let the clothespins and wooden letters dry. If you are using a
very light color you may need to put on a second coat.
4. While the clothespins are drying, use the paper cutter to cut an
8 ½x11 piece of paper out of the scrapbook patterned paper.
5. Clue the patterned paper onto the white cardstock.
6. The remaining patterned paper should be cut to 3 ½ x 8 ½.
7. Cut a piece of white cardstock this same size (3 ½ x 8 ½).
8. Clue the patterned paper to the white cardstock.
9. Arrange the clothespins on the larger piece of paper. You can use
as many clothespins as you would like. You can put one clothespin on
for each person in the household, or put clothespins on to hold
things like grocery lists, permission slips, important phone numbers
and recipes.
10. Use the hot glue gun to attach the clothespins in their desire
position.
11. On the smaller sheet of paper arrange the wooden letters to
spell “Notes”.
12. Use the glue gun to glue on the wooden letters.
13. Allow the hot glue to dry and set.
14. Use the hole punch to punch two holes near the bottom corners
on the smaller sheet of paper and tow holes near the top corners on
the larger sheet of paper.
15. Thread wire through one hole on the smaller paper and one hole
on the larger paper. Wrap it together and do the same thing to the
other side so that when you hold up the smaller paper the larger
paper hangs beneath it.
16. Cut out one of the photo holders of the plastic sheet so that
you have what looks like a pocket.
17. Use the hole punch to punch two holes in the top of the pocket.
18. Lay the pocket under the larger paper and put holes in the
larger paper that correspond with the holes in the pocket.
19. Use wire to attach the pocket and larger paper together.
20. Turn the entire project over and use the hot glue gun to attach
magnets.
