Queen’s Royal Ball Party
Mother's Day Party Idea
Give mom the royal treatment all day long with these fun ideas.
Start the day by putting a royal decree on Mom’s bedroom door
announcing that today is a special day for the Queen of the castle
and that her servants (Dad and the kids) will be available all day
to be employed in the Queen’s service. Give Mom a lavish breakfast
then let her pick what she wants to do all day whether it is
lounging around, going out to shop or just spending the day being
pampered.
Invite At noon deliver mom an
invitation to attend a royal ball. This party can be attended by
Queens and their families from other kingdoms as well, just be sure
to send out the invitations about two weeks in advance.
Craft This craft works well as an
activity for the Queens’ and her royal subjects to do while waiting
for other guests to arrive. Provide paper crowns, glitter, glue,
markers and crowns and have the Queens’ or their kids decorate one
for each of the Moms’ to wear the rest of the day.
Royal Dragon Hunt Game May is the
perfect time for a royal dragon hunt. If you have a large group at
the party you may want to divide them into smaller groups and have
different “hunting parties.” This game is basically done like a
scavenger hunt. Give each group a clue to start with. The first clue
will lead them to another clue and so on. It may be fun to make the
clues look like dragon prints. Have the hunt end at the dragon’s
lair, where they will find treasure such as chocolate shaped and
wrapped like gold coins, and little rings (dragons always have
treasure in their lairs).
Ball When everyone returns from
their dragon hunt, turn on the music and let the dancing and
feasting begin. Your feast can feature any number of foods, but
favorite royal foods are, turkey legs, hot rolls and of course cake.
Be sure to have a toast too!
